The schedule of a mobile notaries has its boom and busts.
Even though a mobile notary can sign up with an unlimited number of signing services to be hired from, when it comes down to it, the only person who can grow their business is the notary themselves. Having the utmost professional skills will not always garner expanded business. Sometimes you need to remind past clients of your valuable services. And there’s not a better way to consistently stay on the minds of business and individuals than with gratitude for past interactions. Expressing gratitude can be a powerful practice that can both enhance your personal outlook and positivity and that in turn can have a positive effect on your business dealings. When times are good and the notary schedule is full, it’s pretty easy to feel grateful for the business you’ve built. But it’s even more important to remember to express gratitude when times are slow and business may be down.
How can I thank you? Let me count the ways.
Every day is an opportunity to reflect back on the clients that keep your business humming. I always have colorful “thank you” cards, $5 & $10 coffee cards as well as stamps in my notary bag for those occasions when a new connection is made or a new customer receives services. Write the card or send the email that goes beyond the simple “thank you” with an expression of how much your clients’ business mean to your small operation. Business connections should be celebrated. When important holidays come around, I also send personal cards to key contacts or a shareable team snack basket as a generous and motivating gesture. These tokens of appreciation can make your clients feel the value that they bring to your success. Your extra effort will showcase your commitment to customer service as well, which can lead to future referrals.
Continuing a culture of Customer Service.
Creating a positive foundation for yourself helps achieve your goals and hasten success. Continued patronage from loyal customers reinforces a full schedule and steady income for the mobile notary. Through regular communication with customers, you show that you are also committed to their business. Keep those valued contacts highly visible in your mobile device so that you can respond quickly to your clients’ needs. If you can’t assist them right away, be able to provide them with an alternate solution or schedule an appointment that works best for both parties. Request feedback from those you work with to address both the positive and negative aspects of your notarial service. Business relationships are built over time and when you take the time to express gratitude you will reap the rewards.
