- $31.00 total baseline fee ($18.00 for the Notary filing fee + $13.00 for the first page of the physical bond recording).
- Additional Page Fee: $3.00 per page for each additional page of the bond after the first page.

Appointment Requirements
Appointments are not required in Kings County.
Notary filings are handled on a walk-in basis during standard business hours.
Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Filing & Recording Counter Hours: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday – Friday.
Note: While the building and staff are around until 5:00 PM, their system completely stops processing official filings, recordings, and notary oaths at 3:00 PM sharp. Any applicant walking in after 3:00 PM will be turned away.

Mail Filing Option
Kings County also offers mail filing. The applicant must first take their oath of office before an active Notary Public within Kings County to have the paperwork properly executed. Send the original $15,000 notary bond (with the applicant’s wet signature), two completed copies of the Oath of Office (executed by the administering notary), a copy of the Secretary of State commission certificate, and a check or money order for the exact amount ($43.00 assuming a 1-page bond) to: Kings County Clerk-Recorder, 1400 W. Lacey Blvd, Building 7, Hanford, CA 93230. Kings County explicitly requires mail-in filers to include a pre-paid, self-addressed return envelope to receive their conformed copy back.
