- $29.00 total baseline fee ($15.00 for the Notary Public Registration fee + $14.00 for the first page of the Bond Recording fee).
- $3.00 per page for each additional page of the bond after the first page.

Mail Filing Option
Contra Costa County also offers mail filing. If you choose to take your oath before a notary public, and your principal place of business is in Contra Costa County, the notary is required to administer, sign and stamp the bottom portion of both oath documents. Once complete, send your original notary bond that you have signed as principal, the two originally signed oaths of office, a copy of your commission to the office. Do not have the notary complete a jurat or acknowledgment to attach to the oath. Be sure all forms are complete and allow enough time for the mail delivery to the Clerk-Recorder’s office.
