Mail Filing Option
Humboldt County also offers mail filing. The applicant must take their oath of office before an active, commissioned Notary Public located within Humboldt County first. Send the original $15,000 notary bond (signed by the applicant), two completed copies of the Oath of Office (fully executed by the administering notary), a copy of the commission certificate from the Secretary of State, and a check or money order for the exact amount to the 5th floor address in Eureka. If filing by mail, the county explicitly requires the student to include a self-addressed stamped envelope so they can return the completed processing paperwork.
